Dragons!

J. R. R. Tolkien once said, “It simply isn’t an adventure worth telling if there aren’t any dragons.”

Growing up, I was constantly surrounded by dragons—and I don’t mean my 21 cats. My first introduction to them was watching How to Train Your Dragon when I was four years old. Something about the characters and story really touched my heart, and then about two or three years later, my mom started reading The Inheritance Cycle by Christopher Paolini. Naturally, I grew up with a soft spot for dragons, but I didn’t realize it until later in my writing journey.

I enjoy the majesty of dragons and feel privileged to write about them. And if you enjoyed this post, leave your favorite dragon in the comments! Hands down, my favorite is Toothless, but in terms of books, I’d say Ash from Michael R. Miller’s Songs of Chaos series.

Until our next meeting, traveler, and never cease looking for dragons!
